At sundown on Sept 16, 2012, it will be the 1st day of the 7th month on the Biblical
Calendar.  God told the Israelites of old to mark this day with sounding an alarm, in Hebrew "teruah."

I DARE you ... say "TEH - RUUUU - AH " as loud as you can.   The very word in Hebrew sounds like a claxon or alarm, doesn't it?

In the days of the Bible the sound was produce by blowing on a ram's horn as you would a trumpet.  The "blast" or alarm could also be made my shouting with the human voice.

Why did God want us to have an entire day devoted to hearing a warning?

The rabbis, centuries ago, gave this day an additional meaning - saying it was beginning of the New Year.  But God said the New Year was in the month that Passover happens !  What should we do with this God Said / Man Says issue ?

Join us for our Yom Teruah - Feast of Trumpets Observance 6pm on Sun, 16 Sept, 2012.
   - We will have a time of rejoicing before the Lord.
   - We will sound the shofar !!!
   - We consider the warning He put into Yom Teruah - The Feast of Trumpets
