MOUNT OF OLIVES - DEATH AND DISASTER
Friday, 10 November
Mount of Olives as seen from stairs leading down to Western (Wailing) Wall - Covered in Tombstones  (Mount of Olives is hill in background with the famous "hotel of 7 arches" at the top... Hotel is above and to left of small group of trees on the hill half-way up)

On this Mount the most important decision of the will of all time was made in the Garden of Gethsemane on the lower reaches of this hill - in the Garden of Gethsemene - Yeshua said, "Not my will Father, but yours be done."
Do you know what covers the Mount of Olives today?
While there are a few Olive Trees that remain (one rumored to be 2000 years old!), two things primarily cover the face of the hill.
1 - Graves and Gravestones ... Religious Jewish people believe it to be literally true where it says in Zechariah that when the Messiah appears "hit feet will touch the Mount of Olives."  They also believe that the Messiah will bring about a resurrection of the dead.  Thus, many Jewish people desire to be buried on the Mount of Olives.  Why?  The thinking is that those who are closest to where The Messiah arrives will be resurrected first.  In a sense, this is considered "front row seating" to see The Messiah when He appears.  Thus, is is HUGELY EXPENSIVE (like Oprah Winfrey money expensive) to be buried there... Or, if you perform a GREAT service to the Jewish people you MIGHT be honored by being buried here (if you are "kosher" (Jewish)).
Sadly, unless these people have believed and received Yeshua as Messiah, Savior and Lord, their resurrection will be to judgment, not to eternal life.

2 - Trash - Yes, you heard me right - trash!!!  Just regular garbage of empty bottles and ... well... garbage. See below - Two pictures of trash lying about 1/2 way up the hill.
